Chimpanzee Trekking

Trekking to see Africa’s chimpanzees is an exhilarating experience! This great ape species is the closest living relative of humans and seeing them in their natural environment is both thrilling and fascinating. Chimps are found in many places throughout Africa, but we recommend trekking in Tanzania (where Jane Goodall’s pioneering research on the species took place) and Uganda based on the terrain, availability of appropriate accommodations and quality of the experience.
