Namibia Safari Itineraries: What Can I See in Two Weeks or Less?

July 17, 2026  By: Gretchen

Namibia is one of Africa’s hidden gems. Tucked away in Africa’s southwest corner, the country offers safari adventure with breathtaking scenery, rugged coastline, incredible desert-adapted wildlife and wonderful hospitality. Visitors to the country have the opportunity to see the Big 5 – including the critically endangered black rhino – and many other mammal and bird species. Its scenery nearly defies imagination, ranging from towering dunes to a shipwreck-littered coast.

Namibia also offers an exclusive safari experience. With just over three million residents in an area more than twice the size of California, people are spread out. With a small number of lodges within such a vast amount of space, and the chance to visit private reserves, it can feel like you have the whole country to yourself.

Namibia can be seen by air or via vehicle, and we like a combination of both. It gives you the chance to admire the impressive, ever-changing countryside both at a slow speed and from above. Adding some air travel into your customized itinerary also allows you to maximize your time on the ground, enjoying the country’s wonders.
