Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrive Windhoek: Upon arrival at Windhoek International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight The Olive Exclusive.

The Olive Exclusive – the first ultra-luxurious sanctuary of its kind in the Namibian capital – is cool, contemporary and stylish but with a warm heart and authentic African soul. The seven suites are individually decorated so each reflects a different region in Namibia, and each has its own lounge area with fireplace and dining room, for private dining.

Day 2 – Sossusvlei: Enjoy your morning at leisure. This afternoon, you will be transferred back to Windhoek International Airport for your flight to Sossusvlei. Upon arrival, transfer to camp, arriving in time for high tea. Dinner and overnight at Little Kulala. (B, D, Dr)

Little Kulala is a luxurious desert retreat situated in the private 37 000-hectare Kulala Wilderness Reserve – the gateway to Namibia‘s Sand Sea with its towering dunes and clear starry skies. Accommodation consists of eleven climate-controlled, thatched “kulalas” (the word means ‘to sleep’) which merge impeccably into the desert landscape, each with private plunge pool, both indoor and outdoor showers, and a rooftop star bed for romantic stargazing.

Day 3 – Sossusvlei: Rise early for a magical excursion into the Namib Naukluft National Park (Sossusvlei), entering the park gates at sunrise to capture the dunes while the light is soft and shadows accentuate their towering shapes and curves. This area boasts some of the highest free-standing sand dunes in the world. Return to your lodge for lunch. Enjoy the remainder of your afternoon at leisure or participate in an activity offered by the lodge. Activities include a visit to Sesriem Canyon, nature drives, walking trails, guided quad-biking, and star bed and gazing. Dinner and overnight at Little Kulala. (B, L, D, Dr)

Day 4 – Palmwag Concession: After breakfast, transfer to the local airstrip for your flight to the Skeleton Coast via Swakopmund and Doro Nawas. Weather permitting, you will see deserted mines, shipwrecks and seal colonies along the coast. Upon arrival, transfer to camp in time for lunch. Enjoy a shared afternoon safari activity. Dinner and overnight at Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp. (B, L, D, Dr)

Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp is scenically located in a broad valley at the confluence of two tributaries of the Hoanib River in the northern part of the private Palmwag Concession. Its location thus straddles the Palmwag area and the iconic Skeleton Coast National Park, in one of the most remote areas of the Kaokoveld. Exclusivity is taken a step further as the camp is only accessible by light aircraft and the camp itself consists of only seven twin-bedded tents and one family unit, each comprising stylish en-suite bedrooms with shaded outdoors decks.

Days 5 & 6 – Palmwag Concession: Enjoy two days of shared safari activities. Activities include game drives, nature walks, Skeleton Coast scenic flight (with a 3-night stay), day trips to Desert Oases, and interaction with wildlife researchers. Dinner and overnight at Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp. (B, L, D, Dr)

Day 7 – Kunene Region: After breakfast, transfer to the local airstrip for your flight to the Serra Cafema. Upon arrival, transfer to camp, arriving in time for lunch. Enjoy a shared afternoon safari activity. Dinner and overnight at Serra Cafema. (B, D, Dr)

Undoubtedly one of the most remote camps in southern Africa, Serra Cafema is located in the extreme northwest of Namibia on the banks of the Kunene River in the Hartmann Valley. Accommodation consists of eight riverside wood, canvas and thatched villas on spacious, elevated decks blended smoothly into the picturesque surroundings. Each tent has an en-suite bathroom, ceiling fan, and mosquito nets. One of these rooms is an intimate, luxurious honeymoon villa with exceptional views, while another accommodates a family.

Days 8 & 9 – Kunene Region: Enjoy two days of shared safari activities from camp. Activities include visits to a Himba Community, quad biking excursion, boating trips on the Kunene River, nature drives and walks in Hartmann’s Valley and a full-day outing to Marienfluss Valley. Dinner and overnight at Serra Cafema. (B, L, D, Dr)

Day 10 – Windhoek/Depart: After breakfast, you will be transferred to the local airstrip for your flight to Windhoek via Hoanib and Doro Nawas. Upon arrival, connect to your onward flight. (B, L, D, Dr)
