Itinerary

Day 1 – Cape Town: Upon arrival in Cape Town, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the remainder of your day at leisure. Overnight at the Mount Nelson Hotel.

Mount Nelson Hotel is an iconic resort that has been welcoming guests for nearly 120 years. Their location is outstanding, with dramatic Table Mountain just behind and the city’s pulsating attractions just beyond the stone-columned gates. There are 198 luxurious, individually-designed rooms and suites to choose from, all offering different moods and views. Families will feel at home in the spacious, light-filled suites or interconnecting rooms. An array of activities keeps all ages entertained, from heated pools and a children’s club to painting classes, tennis coaching and yoga. Babysitting services are also available.

Day 2 – Cape Town/City & Table Mountain Tour: After breakfast, enjoy a private half-day City & Table Mountain Tour. Your tour of the “mother city” will take in the Houses of Parliament, the Castle (built between 1666 and 1679, this is South Africa’s oldest building), the lively Greenmarket Square with its daily market, the Company Gardens, and of course Table Mountain, which will give you spectacular views over the city and the peninsula. (Note: cable car ticket not included, as it is weather dependent and usually closed for maintenance from end July to mid-August). Later, make a stop at Bo-Kaap, home to the Cape Malay community, with its cobbled streets and brightly colored houses. Return to your hotel for the remainder of your day at leisure. Overnight at the Mount Nelson Hotel.

Day 3 – Cape Town/Peninsula Tour: This tour of the Cape Peninsula starts with the beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay, before crossing over to Hout Bay, where you may choose to join an optional boat cruise to Seal Island. Continue to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve via Chapman’s Peak, one of the world’s most breathtaking coastal drives, where a funicular takes you to the top of the Peninsula to witness the symbolic meeting of the Indian and Atlantic Oceans and enjoy spectacular views over False Bay. Stop for lunch in the area (on your own account), before continuing to the naval base of Simonstown, followed by a visit to the African Penguin breeding colony at Boulders Beach. On the return trip, enjoy a stop at the world-renowned Kirstenbosch Gardens before arriving at your hotel late this afternoon. Enjoy your evening at leisure. Overnight at the Mount Nelson Hotel.

Day 4 – Cape Town/Winelands Tour: After breakfast, enjoy a full-day Winelands Tour, which is designed according to your interests.
