Itinerary
Day 1 – Bogotá: After arriving at El Dorado International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Day 2 – Bogotá: Enjoy a Bogotá historical city tour. Highlights include La Candelaria with its charming churches and houses, the government palace, Plaza Bolivar, Botero Museum and the viewpoint Monserrate Hill.
Day 3 – Zipaquira/Villa de Leyva: Travel to Villa de Leyva with a stop along the way in Zipaquira. Enjoy the impressive Salt Cathedral of Zipaquira, salt and marble sculptures and Andean landscapes. Overnight in Villa de Leyva.
Day 4 – Villa de Leyva: Today you will explore Villa de Leyva and surroundings. Your guide will take you through the historical center of Villa de Leyva, Santo Ecce Homo Monastery, Museum El Fosil, pre-Columbian site El Infiernito and the lakes of Pozos Azules.
Day 5 – Coffee Triangle: Transfer back to Bogotá for your scheduled flight to the Coffee Triangle.
Day 6 – Coffee Triangle: Enjoy a tour of Salento and the surrounding area. Highlights include the beautiful scenery in Cocora Valley, the wax palm forest and charming architecture in the town of Salento.
Day 7 – Coffee Triangle: Colombian coffee is considered some of the best in the world. Today you will tour a coffee plantation to learn more about their production process. You will also visit the botanical garden Del Quindio and a butterfly farm.
Day 8 – Medellín: Transfer to Medellín and then enjoy a historical city tour through vibrant Medellín.
Day 9 – Medellín: Visit Guatape village and enjoy a Rock of Guatape tour. Highlights of the day include the spectacular views from the Rock of Guatape, local villages, colorful colonial architecture and scenic landscapes of the highlands of Antioquia.
Day 10 – Cartagena: Today, you will fly to Cartagena. Upon arrival, you will be met and led on a city tour. Enjoy seeing the Caribbean coast, San Felipe de Barajas Fortress, the monastery and church of La Candelaria, Inquisition Palace and the clock tower. Overnight in Cartagena.
Day 11 – Cartagena: Enjoy a day to spend as desired in the beautiful city of Cartagena, where modernity is combined with colonial buildings and UNESCO heritage sites. It is a great city to wander around and take in the Caribbean culture of Colombia.
Day 12 – Mucura Island: Transfer to Mucura Island, a small tropical island surrounded by the beautiful Caribbean Sea. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 13 – Mucura Island: Spend a full day on the island, with opportunities to snorkel, swim, dive and watch the sunset on the beautiful beach.
Day 14 – Depart: Transfer to Cartagena for your scheduled flight to Bogotá. Connect to your international flights home.
