Itinerary

Day 1 – Chobe National Park: On arrival at Kasane Airport in Botswana, you will be met and transferred to your lodge in Chobe National Park for lunch and an afternoon activity. Chobe covers 7,270 square miles, encompassing floodplains, swamps and woodlands and is famous for its large herds of elephants and cape buffalo. Dinner and overnight at Muchenje Safari Lodge or Chobe Elephant Camp.

Luxury: Muchenje Safari Lodge offers unique, prolific game experiences within the more exclusive and quieter western area of Chobe National Park. It provides some of Botswana’s finest safari accommodation and unparalleled safari experiences. In addition to the 10 standard rooms, Muchenje has one honeymoon suite housing a large bedroom, with an upper mezzanine deck that can accommodate two. Walk-in shower with double wash basins, along with a separate bathroom with a bath with bi-fold doors which open out to a private veranda with amazing views.

Deluxe: Chobe Elephant Camp is perched on the edge of a rocky ridge overlooking the famous Chobe River, to take advantage of the incredible views overlooking the sweeping floodplains. The camp has 12 rooms, complete with en suite bathrooms with both indoor and outdoor showers and private decks. 

Days 2 & 3 – Chobe National Park: Enjoy two full days of safari activities in Chobe National Park. Activities may include morning and afternoon game drives, canoe excursions, cultural experiences, guided walks and full day river cruises (varies based on selected accommodation). Meals and overnights at Muchenje Safari Lodge or Chobe Elephant Camp.

Day 4 – Okavango Delta: After breakfast, fly to the Okavango Delta. The Okavango Delta is the largest inland delta system in the world and offers spectacular game viewing, including elephants, lions, zebras, leopards and giraffes. Have lunch and an afternoon safari activity. Dinner and overnight at Nxabega Okavango Tented Camp or Kanana.

Luxury: Nxabega Okavango Tented Camp is located in an exclusive 61,775 acre wildlife concession. The nine en suite safari tents of look out over the expansive lagoons and channels of the Okavango Delta. Cradled under a canopy of African ebony trees, each tent sits on a raised wooden platform and boasts sweeping views. Burnished teak floors and a lofty roof frame the sitting and dining areas. Private bush dinners, breakfasts in bed, lamplit cocktails on a river island or a walking safari with al fresco picnic are provided by Nxabega’s warm and friendly staff.

Deluxe: Kanana is located in the southwest of the Okavango Delta on the Xudum River. The area encompasses a necklace of islands dotted with palms, figs, ebony and knobthorn, and is home to a myriad of birds, plants and animals. The nature of the habitat means it is the perfect place to experience the diversity of species found within the Okavango Delta. The camp has just seven spacious safari tents, each en suite bathroom, large walk-in shower and luxurious fittings. 

Days 5 & 6 – Okavango Delta: Enjoy two full days of safari activities in the Okavango Delta. Activities may include morning and afternoon game drives,  exploring the crystal-clear waterways by mokoro (traditional dugout canoe) or motorboat, spa services, scenic helicopter rides, birding, walking safaris and fishing (varies based on selected accommodation and some at an additional cost). Meals and overnights at Nxabega Okavango Tented Camp or Kanana.

Day 7 – Makgadikgadi Pans: After breakfast, fly to Makgadikgadi Pan National Park, home to one of the largest salt pans in the world and formerly one of the largest lakes in Africa. It is a completely contrasting location, wildlife and habitat to the green and juicy Okavango Delta regions. From January to April each year 50,000 zebra and wildebeest migrate through the area. Year round wildlife includes zebra, wildebeest, springbok, steenbok, elephant, brown hyena, oryx, Kalahari lion and cheetah. Enjoy lunch and an afternoon safari activity. Dinner and overnight at Jack’s Camp or Meno a Kwena.

Luxury: Jack’s Camp  is one of Africa’s most storied and iconic camps and just one of three in a one million acre private wildlife reserve. It has just 10 rooms, with 3 rooms with king beds. As you walk into your spacious tent, you will be greeted by a beautiful lounge area, which leads out to your own private plunge pool. All tents include private indoor & outdoor showers, charging points and all tents offer 24 hour solar-powered electricity. The camp has one of the most comprehensive collections of ancient artefacts in Botswana, collected by the Bousfield family over decades.

Deluxe: Meno a Kwena sits on the Boteti River overlooking the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. It has just 10 rooms, with 2 rooms with king beds. The 2 King tents made up of 1 king sized bed offers views over the Boteti River, into the Makgadikgadi National Park. Along with the indoor en suite bathroom, each has its own private outdoor shower and veranda with a day bed and seating area.

Day 8 – Makgadikgadi Pans: Enjoy a day of safari activities in the Makgadikgadi Pan National Park. Activities include day and night game drives, boat activities, quad biking, horseback riding, bushman walks, meerkat encounters and a floating photographic hide (varies based on selected accommodation). Meals and overnight at Jack’s Camp or Meno a Kwena.

Day 9 – Makgadikgadi Pans/Maun: After breakfast, fly to Maun, Botswana.
