Itinerary
Day 1 – Chobe National Park: On arrival at Kasane Airport in Botswana, you will be met and transferred to your lodge in Chobe National Park for lunch and an afternoon activity. Chobe covers 7,270 square miles, encompassing floodplains, swamps and woodlands and is famous for its large herds of elephants and cape buffalo. Enjoy a suite upgrade for your honeymoon here. Dinner and overnight at Chobe Game Lodge. (L, D, Dr)
Chobe Game Lodge, the only lodge inside the park, has four luxury suites with private pools. The rooms have a complimentary minibar, coffee/tea stations, and a private terrace facing the river.
Day 2 – Chobe National Park: Enjoy shared safari activities in Chobe National Park. Activities include morning and afternoon game drives and morning and sunset river cruises. Meals and overnight at Chobe Game Lodge. (B, L, D, Dr)
Day 3 – Chobe National Park: After breakfast, fly to the western section of Chobe National Park. Enjoy a game drive to your lodge, arriving for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive. Enjoy a private dinner for your honeymoon. Dinner and overnight at Savute Safari Lodge. (B, L, D, Dr)
Savute Safari Lodge accommodates just 24 guests in twelve thatched chalets. The chalets feature expansive private decks, a combined bedroom and lounge area, and en-suite facilities.
Day 4 – Chobe National Park: Enjoy shared game drives and an optional visit to the ancient San rock paintings at Gubatsa Hills. Overnight at Savute Safari Lodge. (B, L, D, Dr)
Day 5 – Okavango Delta: After breakfast, fly to the Okavango Delta. The Okavango Delta is the largest inland delta system in the world and offers spectacular game viewing, including elephants, lions, zebras, leopards & giraffes. Have lunch and an afternoon safari activity. Enjoy a private floating deck dinner for your honeymoon here. Dinner and overnight at Xugana Island Lodge. (B, L, D, Dr)
Xugana Island Lodge accommodates only sixteen guests in eight large, raised, reed-and-thatch lagoon-facing chalets, with en-suite facilities and private viewing decks.
Day 6 – Okavango Delta: Enjoy shared safari activities in the Okavango Delta. Activities include exploring the crystal-clear waterways by mokoro (traditional dugout canoe) or motorboat. Overnight at Xugana Island Lodge. (B, L, D, Dr)
Day 7 – Makgadikgadi Pans: After breakfast, fly to Makgadikgadi Pan National Park, home to one of the largest salt pans in the world and formerly one of the largest lakes in Africa. Enjoy lunch and an afternoon safari activity. Experience a tree-planting ceremony for your honeymoon here. Dinner and overnight at Leroo La Tau. (B, L, D, Dr)
Leroo La Tau features twelve luxurious thatched and glass-fronted suites on raised wooden platforms and en-suite bathrooms.
Day 8 – Makgadikgadi Pans: Enjoy shared safari activities in the Makgadikgadi Pan National Park. Activities include day and night game drives, boat activities (depending on water levels), cultural excursion to Khumaga Village, and nature walks. Overnight at Leroo La Tau. (B, L, D, Dr)
Day 9 – Makgadikgadi Pans/Maun: After breakfast, fly to Maun, Botswana. (B)
