Itinerary
Days 1 & 2 – Livingstone, Zambia (Victoria Falls): Upon arrival in Livingstone, Zambia , you’ll be met and transferred to Toka Leya, where you’ll enjoy two days exploring famous Victoria Falls and the surrounding area. Shared activities are included in your stay. Overnights at Toka Leya, starting with dinner on day one. (B, L, D, Dr)
Overlooking the mighty Zambezi River, Toka Leya Camp has twelve spacious en-suite safari-style tents. Wooden walkways snake between the units and main area, limiting our footprint on this pristine area. Activities (on fully inclusive rate) include a tour of the Victoria Falls on the Zambian side, game drives within Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, river cruises, fishing excursions, and guided nature walks. Tours of Livingstone town and museum and visits to Mkuni Market and Simonga Village are all outstanding ways of learning about the people and culture of this part of Zambia. Other activities on offer in the area at an additional charge include sunset cruises, helicopter flights, micro-lighting, canoeing, jet boating, and white water rafting.
Days 3, 4, & 5 – Kafue National Park: Enjoy a shared morning activity. This afternoon, fly to Kafue National Park (flight included). Found in the center of western Zambia, Kafue National Park is the oldest and largest of Zambia’s national parks. It covers a massive 13,919 square miles. Shumba Camp is situated in the middle of the Busanga Plains in the midst of various lion pride territories and is said to provide some of the best lion viewing in Africa. These lions are often seen in and around camp. Enjoy two full days of shared safari activities; including game drives, guided night drives, hot air balloon safari (complimentary of a 3+night stay – August to October), boating, and specialist birding safari. Located on a tree island in the center of the breathtaking Busanga Plains is stylish Shumba Camp. Its six luxury tented units are spacious, en-suite with both indoor and outdoor showers, and all raised on wooden platforms with spectacular views of the surrounding plains. The bar and dining area is shaded by spectacular fig trees and boasts magnificent vistas over the open wildlife-rich plains. Dinner takes place either on the deck or in the cozy boma, along with a little Zambian culture while the camp’s main deck is a perfect place to stargaze or relax after your evening meal.
Days 6, 7, & 8 – Lower Zambezi National Park: Today, fly to Lusaka (flight included) and connect to your flight to Lower Zambezi National Park (flight priced separately). The game-viewing in the Lower Zambezi is surpassed only by the beauty of the views. With the steep escarpment behind you and the Zambezi in front, few fail to be moved by this park. Enjoy two full days of shared safari activities; including game drives, boating on the Zambezi, fishing, bird watching, canoeing, walking safaris, and night game drives. Overnight Anabezi Luxury Tented Camp. (B, L, D, Dr)
Anabezi is found at the lower end of the Zambezi National Park in Zambia and is exclusively located offering relaxing and serene isolation. All ten of its rooms are alike- spacious containing two double beds or one deluxe king size bed and each tent has both an indoor and outdoor bathroom and a plunge pool. In addition to the usual amenities, there are swimming pools offset from the Zambezi and Mushika decks for guests to cool off, lounge, and relax.
Day 9 – Lusaka/Depart: After breakfast, fly to Lusaka (flight priced separately) and connect to your onward flight.
